Mr. Giugni began his career as a trainee at the Department of Evolutionary and Experimental Biology of the University of Bologna, gaining in-depth knowledge in the methodology of molecular biology.

He gained working experience at prestigious patent firms in Munich and London.

He also worked for an important industrial property firm in Milan from February 1999 to January 2008, when he joined Propria to deal with searches, grants, national and international patent prosecutions, oppositions and appeals with the European Patent Office, as well as Italian and foreign lawsuits with specialization in the biotechnological, pharmaceutical and food sectors.

He is a member of AIPPI.
